Privacy notice
Last updated 1 November 2026
Kerblabs ("we") makes a marketing simulator for local businesses. This notice explains what personal data we collect through kerblabs.com, why, and the choices you have. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
When you book a free preview, you give us:
- your name, your business name and type, and a phone or WhatsApp number;
- your consent to be contacted about the preview.
If you go ahead with a simulation, you may also share your business address, budget, past sales exports or photos of your street or shop. We only collect what the simulation needs.
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read: pages viewed, rough location (city), device and how you arrived. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and we never send your name, phone or email to Google. It does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can block Google Analytics with any content blocker or Google’s opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
Why we use it
- to contact you about the preview you asked for;
- to build and run your simulation and explain the results to you;
- to keep records of our work for you, as the law requires.
We do not sell your data, and we never use it to spend money, post, or send messages on your behalf.
Simulated people are not real people
The "1,200 local people" in a Kerblabs simulation are synthetic. They are generated from research about an area and contain no real person's personal data.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run Kerblabs, such as email, hosting and AI processing providers. They process your data for us under contract and may not use it for anything else. Map data comes from OpenStreetMap; we do not send your personal details there.
How long we keep it
Preview requests that do not turn into work are deleted within 12 months. Data for a simulation you commission is kept for the length of our engagement and then deleted or anonymised, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Third-party data we licence, such as traffic statistics, is deleted on the date its licence requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. You can withdraw your consent at any time; that does not affect anything we did before. You can also nominate someone to exercise these rights for you.
Write to hello@kerblabs.com. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
We store data on access-controlled systems and limit who in our team can see it. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update the date above. Significant changes will be shown on the homepage.
